The Design of Dissent
TA #8 / 2018, OctoberThe DESIGN OF DISSENT EXHIBITION brings together 29 posters from the selection made by authors Milton Glaser and Mirko Ilić in the album „The Design of Dissent, Expanded Edition: Greed, Nationalism, Alternative Facts, and the Resistance” (2018). The collection is a survey of prominent graphic works of social and political protest and critique spanning the last fifty years, featuring imagery created by the world’s most efficient designers that aims to educate and spread messages opposing injustice and cruelty. These images, presented in a public space, remind us of our duty to enact dissidence as many times as necessary in order to protect those liberties which we appreciate so much.
